What is consignment?

Consignment is the process of hiring a trusted company to manage your RV for you. When you consign with LIRVs, we handle the rental process and receive a portion of the total rental cost once a trip is completed.

How much can I make?

Earnings depend on the class, year, make, model, and sleeping capacity of your RV. Rental rates typically range from $75 per night to over $750 per night. Your income will vary based on your RV and the terms of your contract. Our standard agreement is a 60/40 split.

Is my RV protected?

Absolutely. Your RV is covered by your existing insurance policy, the renter’s insurance policy, and an additional rental‑specific insurance policy that LIRVs secures and pays for on your behalf.

What do I have to do?

Very little. To prepare your RV for consignment, simply ensure it is clean, well‑maintained, and that all systems are in working order. This helps attract renters and maximize bookings. We handle everything else. We’ll also provide you with a basic supplies list to include in your RV.

Are there benefits besides making money?

Yes. You can save on storage and maintenance costs since LIRVs takes care of those for you. In addition, your RV may qualify as a tax write‑off. Be sure to consult your tax advisor or accountant for details.
